About me...
My name is Lauren Yack. I am the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade School Counselor at Collegium Charter School's 486 building in Exton, Pennsylvania. This is my 6th year working at Collegium and my 11th year as a School Counselor.
Before coming to Collegium, I worked for the School District of Philadelphia for 5 years in 2 different schools, one K-6 and one K-5. I gained a lot of valuable experience while I was working in Philadelphia, which helped mold me into the person I am today.
I earned my graduate degree, M.Ed., at Temple University in Counseling Psychology and my undergraduate degree, B.S., at the University of Pittsburgh in Applied Developmental Psychology. While in college, I worked with children in a variety of settings. I have a true passion for working with children and have been working with them in various ways for 16 years! Recently, I completed a post-master's certificate in Behavior Analysis and received my Behavior Specialist License from the PA State Board of Medicine and became a certified Secondary (grade 7-12) School Counselor with a PA PreK-12 Educational Specialist certification.
I am married and have 2 beautiful daughters, Sydney (9) and Carly (6 1/2). Both of my daughters also attend Collegium. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, going on adventures, running, playing football, and exercising.
